What is the ACFT?


The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is the U.S. Army’s physical fitness assessment that measures a soldier’s combat readiness. It consists of six events designed to evaluate strength, power, speed, and endurance. The ACFT replaced the older Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) to better reflect the physical demands of modern warfare.

How to use the ACFT Score Calculator?

  • 3 Rep Max Deadlift (MDL): Enter the maximum weight lifted in pounds.
  • Standing Power Throw (SPT): Input the distance thrown in meters (to the nearest tenth).
  • Hand Release Push-ups (HRP): Enter the number of repetitions completed.
  • Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC): Input your time in seconds.
  • Plank (PLK): Enter the duration held in seconds.
  • 2-Mile Run: Input your time in minutes and seconds (mm:ss format).

3. Click the “Calculate Score” button to generate your results.

4. Review your results

  • The calculator will display your score for each individual event.
  • Your total ACFT score will be shown, along with an interpretation of whether you’ve passed or need improvement.
  • The minimum passing score is 60 points for each event and a total of 360 points.

5. Use the results to track your progress

  • Compare your scores to the ACFT standards for your age and gender.
  • Identify areas where you need improvement.
  • Set goals for future tests based on your current performance.

6. Retake the test

  • Clear the form and input new values to calculate scores for different attempts.
