4. Set Wastage Percentage: Enter the expected wastage percentage. This accounts for material loss during transportation and application. The default is set to 10%, but you can adjust it based on your project’s specifics.
5. Calculate: Click the “Calculate” button to get your results. The calculator will display the estimated tonnage needed and the total tonnage including wastage. It will also provide a brief explanation of the calculation.
