Superannuation Calculator: Project Your Retirement Savings

Superannuation Calculator

Estimate your superannuation balance at retirement and see how different factors-like contributions, fees, and investment returns-affect your future savings. Use this calculator to plan for a more secure retirement by adjusting your inputs and exploring various scenarios.

How to Use the Superannuation Calculator

Step One:
Enter your current age and the age at which you plan to retire. This sets the timeframe for your superannuation projection.
Step Two:
Input your current superannuation balance and your annual salary. These figures establish your starting point and the base for employer contributions.
Step Three:
Specify the Super Guarantee rate (the percentage of your salary your employer contributes), any voluntary annual contributions you plan to make, and your expected annual investment return. Adjust these values to reflect your situation or explore different scenarios.
Step Four:
Add your estimated annual super fund fees and your expected annual salary growth rate. Fees reduce your balance each year, while salary growth increases the contributions made on your behalf.
Step Five:
Click “Calculate” to view your projected superannuation balance at retirement. The result will be displayed prominently, along with a breakdown of the calculation process and the meaning of the result. If you wish to try different scenarios, adjust the inputs and calculate again. Use the “Reset” button to clear all fields and start over.
