How to Use the Muslim Prayer Time Calculator?

1. Setting Date and Location

The current date is set by default, but you can change it using the date picker. For location, you have two options:

  • Manual Entry: Input the latitude and longitude in their respective fields, then select the appropriate timezone from the dropdown menu.
  • Automatic Detection: Click “Use Current Location” to allow the browser to detect your position. This will automatically fill in your latitude, longitude, location name, and timezone.

2. Choosing Calculation Method

Select a calculation method from the dropdown menu. Options include Muslim World League, Islamic Society of North America, Egyptian General Authority of Survey, Umm Al-Qura University (Makkah), and University of Islamic Sciences (Karachi).

3. Calculating and Viewing Results

After entering all required information, click “Calculate Prayer Times”. The tool will display a table showing prayer times for Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. The results include the date, your location, coordinates, timezone, and the calculation method used.

4. Interpreting Results

Prayer times are shown in 24-hour format, adjusted for the selected timezone. Times are highlighted for easy reading. Remember that these are approximate times based on calculations and may differ slightly from local observances.

This tool provides a quick and easy way for Muslims to determine prayer times for any location and date, especially useful for travelers or those without readily available local prayer time information. Always verify these times with local Islamic authorities for the most accurate prayer schedules.
