MDCAT Aggregate Calculation
The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) is a standardized examination conducted in Pakistan for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges. The MDCAT aggregate score is a crucial factor that determines your eligibility for admission to these institutions.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has established a specific formula for calculating the aggregate score, which typically includes marks from your matriculation (10%), FSc or equivalent (40%), and MDCAT examination (50%). However, some institutions like NUMS (National University of Medical Sciences) may use different weightage formulas.
Your aggregate score directly influences your position on the merit list and determines which medical or dental college you can get into. Generally, top government medical colleges require an aggregate of 90% or higher, while private institutions may accept students with lower aggregates.
