What is Hydrostatic Pressure?

Hydrostatic pressure is the pressure exerted by a fluid at equilibrium due to the force of gravity. It increases linearly with depth in a fluid and depends on three key factors: the density of the fluid, the acceleration due to gravity, and the depth measured from the surface.
