About This Test

Alexithymia refers to difficulty in identifying, understanding, and expressing emotions. This test uses the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20), a scientifically validated 20-item questionnaire that measures three key dimensions:

  • Difficulty Identifying Feelings (DIF): Problems recognizing and distinguishing between emotions and physical sensations
  • Difficulty Describing Feelings (DDF): Problems describing emotions to others
  • Externally Oriented Thinking (EOT): Tendency to focus on external events rather than inner experiences
