How to use the MCAT Score Calculator?
1. Understand the MCAT sections
The MCAT consists of four sections: Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems, Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS), Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems, and Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior.
2. Take a practice test
Before using the calculator, take a full-length MCAT practice test or the AAMC Sample Test. These tests are designed to mimic the actual MCAT and will provide you with raw scores for each section.
3. Access the calculator
Open the MCAT Score Calculator in your web browser. You’ll see input fields for each of the four MCAT sections.
4. Enter your raw scores
For each section, enter the number of questions you answered correctly. The calculator accepts values between 0 and the maximum number of questions for each section (59 for most sections, 53 for CARS).
5. Calculate your score
After entering all four scores, click the “Calculate Score” button. The calculator will process your input and display the results.
6. Interpret the results
The calculator will show you:
- Your estimated total MCAT score (ranging from 472 to 528)
- Scaled scores for each individual section (ranging from 118 to 132)
- An estimated percentile rank based on your total score
