88 Days Calculator
What is the 88 days rule?
To qualify for a second year Australian Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417 or 462), you must complete 88 days of specified work in eligible regions. For full-time roles, these are calendar days (including weekends and rest days). For part-time or casual work, only actual workdays count. Multiple jobs can be combined, but overtime does not reduce the total days needed.

How to Use the 88 Days Calculator for Working Holiday Visa
Step One: Select your employment start date using the calendar picker. This should be the first day you began eligible specified work in Australia.
Step Two: Choose your work type. If you are working full-time (generally five or more days per week, with weekends and rest days included), select “Full-time (calendar days)”. If you are working part-time or casually, select “Part-time / Casual (actual workdays)”.
Step Three: If you selected part-time or casual work, enter the average number of days you work per week. This helps the calculator estimate how many weeks you will need to reach 88 workdays.
Step Four: Click the “Calculate” button. The calculator will display your estimated finish date and a brief explanation of the calculation, including the formula used and what the result means for your visa eligibility.
Step Five: Review the result and explanation. Use this information to plan your work schedule and ensure you meet the 88 days requirement for your second year working holiday visa application.
