How to Use the Swimming Pool Evaporation Calculator
Step 1: Select your pool shape from the dropdown menu (rectangular, circular, or irregular).
Step 2: Enter your pool’s dimensions in feet. For rectangular pools, input length and width. For circular pools, enter the diameter as length. For irregular pools, use the longest length and width measurements.
Step 3: Input the average depth of your pool in feet. If your pool has varying depths, calculate the average by adding the shallow and deep end depths and dividing by two.
Step 4: Enter the current air temperature in Fahrenheit. Use a local weather report or outdoor thermometer for accuracy.
Step 5: Measure and input your pool water temperature in Fahrenheit using a pool thermometer.
Step 6: Input the relative humidity percentage from a weather report or hygrometer.
Step 7: Enter the current wind speed in miles per hour from a local weather report.
